From time to time God as given every Christian revelation and I would like to share one of mine. One of my reasons for sharing is because it is something that everyone deals with at some time or another and the enemy is so good at using it. In addition, my family and church family have just dealt with it and most came out ahead.
Since the enemy knows nothing about Love he uses hate or a form of it to control us, and many times its Anger. This revelation in part, first came to me in 2002 while I was at work. Two departments were merging and there was a fight basically, over turf. That particular day my supervisor gave me a task to do and I completed the task as usual, but she went to my coworkers and asked if I had completed it as if I had not done it. My coworkers said of course she did, but when I heard about it I became angry because I already felt overworked. My anger was fueled by the thoughts of how I was the only one that had worked three different shifts in one week, or was lied on in many instances. My anger was over the top so to speak and at that moment The Lord said, that’s what happened to Eve. At that moment I sat down in the copy room and tried to regroup. The coworker that worked in the copy room because that was the only job that he could hold because he was an alcoholic and smelled of it all the time; came to me and made an insulting statement to me and I did all I could to keep from calling him an alcoholic and many other insulting statements. If the Lord had not gave me that revelation I might have been written up.
The Lord made me understand that Eve didn’t like the idea that God had forbid them from eating the fruit of the Tree that was in the midst of the Garden but she obeyed (like I obeyed) until the serpent doused her with anger in such a way that he actually prepared her for the “Great deception” that was on the way. When he came to her with the other lies (because she would surely die) she was ready to accept it.
He does the same thing to us. When God gives us a command most of the time and we fully intend to carry it out like it or not, but the enemy puts or brings to mind something that we already have problems with that is connected to our obedience and soon we forget about what God told us to do because we are angry and when we get angry we are like a raging bull, which is hard to stop. All of a sudden it’s all about what we are angry about and the enemy has won and you lost your blessing. We all know that blessings are associated with obedience to God. In addition, since the enemy is in the spiritual world he can see your blessings coming and is hell bent on stopping them.
The last few months there has been an exodus from our church. A month ago the Lord told me that the enemy was trying to run me away from the church. I was to apologize to anyone that I had offended and to ask for prayer (which proved to be very powerful) and that by staying this act would shoot an arrow right into the heart of the enemy. This weekend one of the ministers said that she wanted to leave as well but the Lord told her that it was the enemy trying to use our (the church members) differences (personalities) to divide us when it is our differences that make up the body of Christ. She also said, whatever the enemy is trying to turn you away from, that is where your strength lays. She also said realizing this would also be a strike against the enemy.
Until next time,
